In American culture, men have not been known as the primary cook in the family.

Self-authored project - 2013

Many men don't know how to cook more than a slab of meat on a grill. This has created a chasm between cooking healthy meals and men's abilities. Research proves that gender roles are challenged, and men are beginning to cook more. Whether that is to provide meals for their family or to impress someone, the fact is that most men still see cooking as a daunting or intimidating chore.

The Dude Can Cook product offers an alternative to the “traditional” masculine-themed meals by creating a custom-delivered kit of branded goods and tools. Dude Can Cook introduces cooking, healthy meals, and ethnic foods mixed with humor and approachability.
